In only his second hard charging season of bowhunting Im gonna go out on a limb and say that if a critter comes near Hinky it does not stand a chance!!! JLH and Hinky temaed up on this 7 point at the new "J" spot.......

Crabby

Heading down to hunt sika last week I saw a buck that I had seen on my trailcam the last two years and had nicknamed "Crabby" for his crabclawed front tines....Well I videoed him while checking my cam...at mid day with athe big 6 and a smaller 8.....I never thought I would shoot him at a my new spot just under a mile away just a week later!!!

Randy needed a buck....

I needed my 2 antlerless deer to put me back on a buck tag for the rut...

That was the game plan although it seemed a dificult task...especially the doe part as I had been trying like mad to kill one and had not drawn blood on anything but my finger.........

Well it wasnt any of the bucks we had been seeing but a decent 8 point came in to our view within minutes of my 2nd rattling sequence...Randy immediately went in to an unbreakable zone and put an arrow straight throught the heart of this guy at 25 yards...





as soon as the kill was made I was ready to take on my task.....but the deer semmed to just shut down.....I made a call to Jeff and asked if I could shoot a doe on our evening set to which he replied hed rather not as the does are buck bait...........I understood but I was bummed.........

but as I hung up the phone all hell broke loose........I had 2 does on the ground in 5 minutes!!!
