Sheddin the Orchard....WEIRD FIND

What in the heck happened to this thing...never seen anything like it...hollow inside for about 3 inches...even feels hollow up around the g2...Doug and I were out shedding...found a few and when I walked up on this thing i had to think twice before pickin it up....
skin and blood all over the inside of the shed...

What a Riot!!!

Jason, Kevin, and I took the boys for a shed hunt on Sunday...It was a crazy time with these nuckleheads....Dawson and Alex(or Ryan as Kevin likes to call him) were infatuated with trash...well...glass bottles of soda that they had never heard of...while Kicky was all about the deer bones...which we found far to many of unfortunately...

We found some decent new and old sheds and a few good dead bucks that had apparently been found b4 by some shed hunters on one of the public spots we hit...

Found some we have had a history with as well which is always a plus...

The SHOW starts at 2:30PM

We will be getting to the blind at about 2 PM to set up and go live as soon as possible.....Roger did a little recon today for us and found that the deer had been there at all hours of the day munching on the shrubs....but the most promissing sign was the deer that hung around while he was there a little after 2 oclock....could be the magic time!!!

We will keep ya posted...Hope everyone tunes in as this could be an awesome first of many!!!............................

But remember....It is "hunting" and we could get skunked....ya just never know!!!

We have been planning how to do this for a long time and hope to make this a common theme next season.....................The good news is.....The Va. Suburban deer season is still in and we are lucky enough to have a good friend (Roger) with a spot and a team member (Hinky) with a Va. License....woo hoo........bowtroll will be runnin the camera and trying to keep up with the chat!!!

The scene has been set.....

Our Friend Roger does alot of nuisance deer removal...One place in particular has a ton of deer destroying the landscape and a Landowner that wants them gone....We can do that....LIVE!!!

The deer are consistantly coming out before 6PM

This seems like it could be a shoe in but we all know how a sure thing can be....anyway we are going to try!!!

Notice the Cuddebacks tied to the deck posts....We will be hunting from a Double Bull Blind on the Paver Patio under the deck.....Flat, Quiet, and we have electric close by for the laptop to transmit the live feed!!!

Couple great days of Sheddin!!!

Took the kids sheddin a couple days this weekend and wore their little butts out...Angie found her first dead buck,Madi found her first shed, Julie found her first matching set and Cheb found his biggest..I found a big dead one...its kind of bittersweet because these would be great deer to hunt and it would be much nicer findin the sheds...

Little Riley even found her first shed!!!

Our friend Roger Harris had some bad luck when a shooter on his bale shot an arrow into Rogers Target causing him to have to do a makeup arrow...as if its not hard enough the first time around!!!

luckily we do have a back up cam and a web cam....

so we are gonna see how this works....

Chris Johnson rolls up into Harrisburg and proves again that the Overkill boys from Md. can fling some sticks!!!

He takes first in the bowhunter division at the Pennsylvania Bowhunters Challenge with a score of 297 edging the second place competitor by 1 point and 3rd by 2...pretty close but he prevailed!!!
