Sheds, Deads, and Potheads

We have been out scouring some of our spots...Troy found his first pair of the season....a dinky little matched set of spikers laying right beside each other....Dawson has found his biggest and best....we have found some poachers bolts....some potheads bowls...Dawson found a cool milk bottle from the 1930s...The reports are that alot of our bucks are still packin and that makes it tough on us......

Been Busy....long delay in updates...MY Bad!!!

Soooo......been movin...setting up the new Mancave...
Tryin to squeeze in a little shedding and shooting in the process....
We did the NRA show in Westminster Md......Good times and great to meet some new faces!!!
Also got to meet and eat with some Legends...Helping film Bobs Seminar was too much fun!!!












CJ also became a 3 in a row Pa State Champ in Harrisburg this past weekend winning the craziest trophy I have ever seen!!!

Finally!!!

With the season winding to a close...I just found a great little honey hole....actually, it found me....I scouted the area quickly and found a ton of deer and the landowner wants me to regulate................

I knew I had to move quick as one of the bucks I saw was missing an antler...being as I am tagged out on bucks for the remainder of bow season....I called on Cheb who had yet to fill his tags.....It would be a great ending giving all the boyz at least one buck on film for the next DVD!!!

It worked like it was scripted....I set up the blind under the homeowners deck because he said they had been terrorizing his plants...(he is in the process of expanding his garden) He offered to put out a little bit of LW for me every evening.....WOW....doesnt get much better than that....

We waited til Cheb could get off early and set it up for this eve.....I knew from observing the other evening that he wouldnt want to shoot the first one he saw as I saw a decent one....but after a 6 point, a basket 8....and the halfrack made their way in to the LW....This broken (we thought it was just freaky it happened so fast) 8 point came on the scene and ran the others away.....

Cheb was happy with him and let one rip....results in pics....
The best part of this video thing is that I feel like I shot another one!!! Two much fun!!! Happy for ya Chebster!!!

Rob little called me up today and invited me to come out to one of his local hot spots. After giving away most of my deer this season and discovering my local spot , the deer have basically evacuated and moved to Florida for the winter, I was getting nervous about some venison back straps for the grill.

Rob was on the money and we had a group of 4 does and a fawn come in. I resisted the urge to smoke the fawn....and put a perfect shot at 12 yards on this nice doe. Great time, great late season hunt with a friend. You just cant beat it!

Was not very eventful for us but.....Thomas and I were set up in Kevins "happy place"...."The doctors"....one of our best late season hideouts....The wind was shifty and it caused the critters to bust us from one direction...the next group got closer but offered only frontal shots that we opted against...Thomas, It was great meeting you and I am glad you enjoyed yourself...We all had a good time with ya at dinner!!!
