Im thinking.........................not so much
Ninja going Comanchee
So my first hunt back home after my Overkill outing, Im hunting local and I head out Saturday am.
They were calling for a NNE wind.
It was more like North, then East, then North, then east again.
I talked to my buddy Scott who was running the camera and told him we shouldnt go to our set, as the risk of blowing out a big boy was too great.
So rather then go home, I decided to make an INDIAN ground blind, whereat worse case, the wind would blow into an open field where I didnt think any deer would come from.
Well, it worked, except the big boy I wanted never posted.
Right at 8:15 we had 3 bucks come in the corner, and slowly work their way up to about 30 yards. My Buddy was a little pissed I didnt shoot this 8, but he just seemed real young and I wouldnt have been happy with him.
We let them go.
For almost not hunting at all that am, it turned out to be pretty nice.
I do hate these East winds. They confuse me for sure.
